Dr. Raphael K. Arinaitwe, Ph.D. is an Expert in Leadership, Governance and Public Policy at The Africa Training and Research centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD). He was a Managing Director of ARIRAPH Consult (U) Limited before joining CAFRAD.

Dr. Arinaitwe, is a Ugandan, born 23rd January 1958, married with three children and holds an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Leadership and Policy Studies, MBA in Finance and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting all from USA. He has held various academic and management positions within and outside Uganda . For Eight (8) Years, he was deeply involved in fighting corruption in Uganda , while working at the Inspectorate of Government, through investigations and preventive measures like educating the public about the dangers of corruption and how to fight it. He also headed various units including a unit that reviewed policies, systems and laws that could be prone to corrupt practices and made appropriate recommendations for improvement and restructuring where necessary. He chaired various committees including Contracts Committee at the Inspectorate of Government. He was Project Coordinator for “Good Governance Project” funded by UNDP and Project Manager for “The Institutional Support Project for Good Governance” funded by African Development Bank.

Since 1998 to present, he has held a position of External Consultant at Uganda Management Institute. He also taught various courses at various colleges and universities in America (USA) from 1990 to 1997. He has made professional presentations at various international workshops in Uganda , USA , South Africa , UK , Ghana , Malawi , Zambia , Egypt , Kenya , Tanzania and Morocco .

He is acknowledged for his invaluable contributions to the Study Guide and Test-Bank to Accompany Schiller “The Economy Today”, by Dr. Michael M. Tansey and Dr. Lawrence F. Zeigler, Sixth Edition.
